Description
Chateau d’Angludet is one of the oldest in Margaux, and has had a chequered history. The Sichel family purchased the estate in 1961 and has revived the fortunes of this pretty lakeside property. The combination of sand and gravel soils found in this area of southern Margaux are ideal to support both Cabernet Sauvignon and a high proportion of Merlot.
La Reserve d`Angludet is made from the same vineyards and with the same dedication as Chateau Angludet itself. The strict selection in vineyard and from cask ensures the finished wine shares the same finesse, complexity and elegance of a fine Margaux. Supple dark fruits, liquorice and spice notes are held by assertive but ripe tannins that ensure Reserve d`Angludet can be enjoyed when young but will also allow further maturation.
